Copic gel shaker card

Hi Copic lovers; welcome to the Copic Marker Europe Blog.

For my DT inspiration, I made a card that is a cross between a gel card and a shaker card using one Gorjuss stamp.

I stamped with Memento "London Fog" grey ink for the No Lines Technique.

This is the finished project, but after that, you've got step by step pictures on how I coloured her as always...
....and at the end another picture tutorial showing you how you can make your copic gel shaker background.

Copics used to colour the image:

Skin: E0000, 00, 21, 11, 13
Hair: E11, 15, 39, 18
Reds: R20, 22, 24, 27, 59
Dress: YG61, G24, 94, 28
Socks: E74, 71, 40 RV93, 91

Step by step colouring pictures:

To colour the hearts I did not want to give depth to each of them since they are flat (this would not have any sense) I colour them in an ascending tone coinciding with the light and shadows of the dress.

The background´s finished look:

Here is how you can make this Copic gel shaker background in step pictures too:

You need Copic Refills in a colour of your choice
Hair or baby oil (as they are clear)
Sequin elements to shake (mine´s are stars)
Glitter
...and sealed safety plastic bags

Put a generous amount of oil into the bag with your decorative elements.

add some sparkle or glitter.

Finaly add some drops of your choice of Copic Refill

Add the gel with your fingers to distribute and unify the elements.....and done!

I hope you have enjoyed my entry and hope you found it inspiring

Have a nice day.

Cicci; candy cane and light source

Hi Everyone.
I hope you all have a great time.
Cicci here, today I would like to show how I coloured this cute image,
called Candy Elf Helpers, from Make it Crafty.
I going to show you a tip to see the lightsource and How I coloured the brown Candy Cane.

I have used these Copic Markers:
Skin: E50 51 53 04 11 13 R20 22 R01
Green Clothes: YG93 95 97 99
The little one
Red Clothes: R14 24 27 39 35 89
Bell: Y26 68 Y21 Y00
Hair:  E50 51 53 YR31
Eyes: Y21 E23 27
Brown on Jumper and shoes: E23 25 27
Candy Cane: E23 25 27 29 49 18 39 Y000 02
The oldest boy
Hair: E43 44 53 57 59 11
 Green:: YG93 95 97 99
Brown: E27 23 25 Y21
Eyes: G29 20 Y000
Golden Pants: Y26 28 Y00 Y21
Forest and Sky: B99  B97 95  B000 93 39  B00
Snow: B00 000 BG10 BG11 B45 41 60
Houses: E44 47 49
Window Light: Y00  Y21
Moon: E71 70 E000 51 Y21  Y000 V000 B000 00
White Posca Pen for the snow

The Light source is from the moon, which I have drawn.
I lay down two pens from the direction of the moon. This is the way I see where I'm going to put my light on the images.
(I have used Yellow for the light here.)

I colour the Candy Cane this way.

 Add E29.

Add E25 on the E29.

 Then I add some E27.
I let one side of the candy cane stay white, there I want to add some yellow colours after I have blended out the brown colours.

Then I add some E36  and E18 on the other colours. Blend out with  E99 and E23.

Add Y02 and blend with Y000.
Feather the yellow and the brown together.
 I use E23 and Y000 00 02 for this.

I add one more layer of E29 25 23 on the area were I started to colour in Step One.
I finish with E23 on top of the Candy Cane, because there will be no light  from the moon there and I want it darker on that area.
I finish, by adding E49 to get a little more depth in the colouring and crossing the whole candy cane  with Y000 to smooth out the yellow and brown.

DONE ;0))

Have a wonderful day and I hope to see you here at the Copic Europa Blog again

HUGS!

life is too short...

Hi lovely Copic friends, Miranda here with a new post to share.
This time I would like to focus on how I colour hair.

,But first the skin, I always start with a thin layer of E50.

For some depth I add BV00 and BV02. Blend the layers together with E00 and E0000.
Use B16, B14 and B12 to colour the eyes. There is always some shadow in the eyes too, use the W1 and W3 for shadows.

Allthough I normally start with the lightest colour first, with colouring hair I start with the darkest one here the BG09.

Then add the BG07.

Add BG04 and blend all the layers together with BG02.
Sometimes you have to go back to the darkest colour, because that might get a bit faded out after adding the lighter colours.

And this is the end result. I have decided to use a blue-green because it's complementary with the reds and pinks in the background. If you blend those colours together you will make mud, but if you use the colours this way the complementary colours will make each other look brighter.

have a wonderful day

Christmas Hugs!

Hello everyone! It's Delphine here to share some Christmas love! For my card today, I used a sweet couple of hedgehogs from the Penny Black Christmas Hugs stamp set.

I die cut my image with an MFT oval die and started colouring the background.  Oh and why should the sky always be blue ;)? I decided to go purple-pink for a change and used BV000 and V01 for a pastel sky.

I then decided to fill the background a little, so I added trees in the same shade as the purple of my sky just a bit darker, with BV00.

Next I coloured the skin (E000, 0000) and clothes of my hedgehogs. I used V09, 15, 17 for the dark purple, and V01, 04, 06 for the light purple. The red colour of the boots and scarf was done using R35, 37, 39 and C5 for more depth. The gloves are R22, 24, 27.

I coloured the hedgehogs' backs in W3, 5, 7. I then continued with the white fur using C0, 1, 3 and I added some shadows - as you can see below the scarves for example.

Lastly, I grounded my critters using C1, 3 and the pink from my sky V01.

Here is the list of all the markers I used for my image:

Sky and trees: BV000, 00, V01
Snow: C1, 3, V01
Hedgehogs: C0, 1, 3, E000, 0000, W3, 5, 7
Purple: V09, 15, 17
Light purple: V01, 04, 06
Dark red: C5, R35, 37, 39
Light red: R22, 24, 27

I wanted to frame my image so I painted a Make it Crafty Scribble Snowflake Oval Frame chipboard with a white Molotow pen.

I am really into chipboard so I chose a chipboard sentiment too. The bottom layer is coloured in white paint again to match the frame, and the red word is Copics. I love that I can use my markers not just on paper only - and here I wanted to achieve a blended look on my chipboard word so I used R35, 37, 39. I then put Star Dust Stickles on my sentiment.

And here is the finished card! I mounted my frame on Doodlebug DPs and added gold to my frame with acrylic paint, 3 little stars and a chipboard heart coloured in Copics and covered in glitter.

That's all from me today! Thank you very much for your visit, have a great weekend! Hugs,
Delphine xx

Sending you love!

Hello Everyone.

It’s Sandra from Portugal.

Today I am bringing you a quick card made from a lovely digistamp from Polkadoodles, called “wishes”.

The first thing I coloured was the dress using R30, 20, 21 and 22. I used the same combo for the en pointe shoes.

I then coloured the skin with E000, 00, 11 and 21,  with E93 for the cheeks.

To colour the hair I chose E42/44/47/49, one of my favourite combinations for hair. I then used BG01/05/07 for the pigtails’ bows.

To finish, I coloured the flowers with V12/15 and YR20/21/61/65, added some touches of E40 to the envelope and coloured the heart with the same BG combo used before.

I hope you like it!

Hugs,

Sandra
