Tutorial - Colouring Brickwork

Hi Everyone,

Hope you have all enjoyed your Christmas and are ready to get back into crafting.  I thought I would share with you how I colour brickwork.  The bricks from where I live have quite a lot of red in them, so I have chosen E09, E19, E13, E55, E53.

I'm starting with E09 and have added a little at each end of the brick.

I next lay down some E13

Then E55

And lastly E53

I return to where I started but this time I have decided to add in some E19

Blend out with E13 towards the middle starting at each end.  The middle of the brick will be the lightest

Finally blend out with E53

This process needs to be repeated for each brick. I know this is time consuming but it will give the most realistic result.

Here's all the bricks coloured.  You can go in and add further shading where you want

I went in to colour the cement with W5 and added some touches to the bricks, can you see the difference by just added a touch of W5.

Finally here's a finished card.  The image is called Christmas Eve by Make It Crafty, he's certainly a cheeky Santa and was perfect for the male recipient.  The papers are from the Maya Design Frost Basics 6x6 paper pad.

Happy New Year Everyone.

To match the pastell coloured Design Papers, I've coloured the image using
Copic Sketch Markers:

Merry Christmas

Hello everyone! It's Delphine here with some very seasonal inspiration today! A very CAS Christmas card today using an image by Crissy Armstrong I fell in love at first sight with, a very long time ago. The colouring is totally inspired by and based on the watercoloured image she did which impressed me so much!

This image is a Whimsy Stamps digi by Crissy Armstrong called Touched By Love. I coloured it all with Copics and really could not add anything else to it, I think this image is gorgeous by itself and does not even require a sentiment.

Background: B41, 45, BV13, 17
Ground and straw: E50, 53, 55, 57, Y26 (and a bit of metallic gold pen)
Angel:
Skin: E000, 00, 02, 11, 23, R20
Hair: E49, 51, 55, 59
Outfit: BV02, 00, 000, W0, 1, 3
Wings: W0, 1, 3

Baby Jesus:
Outfit: C00, 0, 1, 3, W0, 1
Sheet: B000, 00, BV000, 0000, C0, 1, 3, Y11, 26, 28
Crib: E31, 33, 35, 37, 39, 59

Thank you very much for your visit - and Merry Christmas to you all! Hugs

Christmas Greetings

Hi Everyone,

Are you all ready for christmas?  I'm all wrapped up and after I finish work on Christmas Eve will be so looking forward to spending time with the family and actually relaxing, I think it's the only time of year when I do eventually switch off from everything going on, so I am definitely looking forward to it.

Today's card is a little different as I made this for someone who loves Hannah Lynn, and why wouldn't you she is so beautiful.  The papers and sentiment are from the MayaDesign Vintage Frost Basics.

I have used the cool greys to colour the image and also added some B95, B93, B91 for the blue splats of paint.

I would like to take this opportinity to thank you all for your comments throughout the year and to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year.

Hugs Tracy x

Three Days until Christmas!

Hello, dear Copic Fans,
Yes, there are only 3 days until Christmas, because here in Germany, we celebrate Christmas Eve on 24th of December.

To my shame I have to admit, that I have never been so far away from having as many Christmas Cards as I wanted to send as this year. This will not happen again, so I just do not stop producing Christmas Cards to have some ready for next Christmas.

This card I made on commission, my client wanted to have something about sewing on it. So when I saw cute little Henry from Whiff of Joy, I knew, I had to have him. Not only for this card, because a lot of my friends are sewing and so I have a cute image ready for cards for them as well.

There are more stamps about sewing at Whiff of Joy and this one is part of a set:

And there are cutting dies about sewing and they are of a very, very good quality:

So now, here comes my card:

The ticket stamp and die with the sentiment and the scissor are from Whiff of Joy, too,

the gorgeous snowflakes are dies from Noor! Design.

I hope, my client will like the card - I do! It was a lot of fun making it!

I used these Copic Markers:
Henry: E51, E53, E55, E01, E02
Bow: BG72, BG75
Twine: E53, E55, R05, E08, W4, YG05, G03, B95, B97
Cushion: B95, B97, W2, W4
Needle: W04
Shadows: W00, Wo, W1, W2, W4

I wish a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Big Hugs

Merry Christmas

Hi there Copic Friends,

Åsa here today with another clean and simple card.
When it comes to massproduce Christmas cards, I tend to keep it a little bit simpler.
It´s less time consuming and easier to mail.

But just because I keep it simple, it doesn't meen I take any less time in colouring.
I tend to almost lay more time on colouring when the motif has the main focus.

Here is the little Mo Manning Elf.
It´s coloured with the following Copics:

Skin: E11-21-00-000-R20-11
Hair: E44
Red: E18-09-08
Grey: W5-3-1-0
Fluff: N3-1-0
Bulb: YR24-23-21-20
Green: YG67-63-61

Have a wonderful day.

An easel calendar

Hello everyone!
This is Kathrin here today sharing a new creation with you all.

Christmas crafting is nearly done and so I thought a little further and made an easel calendar:

It's an easel card that has a little calendar included on the inner part.
I went with a red and white color combination simply because I thought this is something that fits every season of the year.
The numbers have been cut using the numbers die by Whiff Of Joy, the round text is a combination of two different Catslife Press stamps, I just used the Stamp-a-majig to combine the "happy new year" and the "a good day" text.
There is a little  clover charm hanging down on the left side, the tag with the numbers have been attached with a starshaped brad.

On the inside I added a big red tag and put the little calendar on top.

The image is by Whiff Of Joy:

The hair is so wonderful to color...
I went with these colors to color the image in:

Skin: E13, E11, E51, E30, E000
Cheeks: R32, R30
Hair: E99, E31, Y21, YR30
Reds: R59, R46, R27, R24, R22, R21
White: N4, N1, C00
Bag and Eyes: E33, E31, E30
N7 for the dark areas of the cellphone

Have a wonderful 2014 everyone of you!
